Windwalking.com was launched on May 1st of 2002 to serve two chief purposes - as a showcase of and connecting point for a virtual community of like-minded individuals who advance the philosophy of "windwalking" in their work, and as an umbrella site for WindWalking Arts and its related projects, including WindWalking Design and the Garden of the Netherwhen.

Windwalking.Com

Windwalking.com features sites, products, events, and creations from individuals and groups who follow passionate lives, seek release, balance, understanding, and share their discoveries and philosophies openly with the world through a number of facets.  The site is comprised of four sections, which reflect these facets: anima (raw expression, poetry, art, dance), wakan (divinity or mysticism, conscious living, spirituality), glyph (mythic archetype, fiction, oral and written tradition), and banyan (real-life application, essay, journaling, blogs).

In most cases, the group of "windwalkers" presented here include individuals and organizations that have formed a close-knit community and have partnered in any one of a number of joint enterprises. Although these individuals and organizations follow like paths and pursue like goals, those featured on windwalking.com were not petitioned for inclusion, nor did they petition for inclusion. They are not in any way affiliated with WindWalking Arts, nor are members of a Windwalking community in any sense but the most ineffable and spiritual, unless otherwise mentioned.

Windwalking.com attempts to engender a sense of "meeting place", be it on the most intangible or tangible of levels. The enhancement and expansion of this virtual community and the opportunity to pursue various collaborations and mutual cross-promotion continues to be a priority.

WindWalking Arts

Windwalking.com serves as the umbrella site for WindWalking Arts, providing an entrance point to all events, products, sites and media WWA produces, sponsors, or participates in. William Cooper formed WindWalking Arts in 2001 and it became a legal operating entity in 2004.

- music (vocal and world percussive)
